At Safety io, I led the evolution of FireGrid from an early-stage digital workflow tool into a trusted operational and compliance platform for fire departments. The core challenge was not hardware reliability, but unstructured operational data that made safety signals hard to detect and act on.

AI was introduced deliberately and pragmatically, not as a novelty, but as a decision-support layer built on top of strong digital habits, trusted workflows, and clear human accountability.

The Real Problem: Safety Signals Lost in Operational Noise

Fire service hardware is inherently safety-critical, but the data describing its maintenance was not.

Maintenance logs were:
